Our
client is responsible for distributing and maintaining
telephone service facilities in
the metropolitan cities and their suburbs. Nearly 40%
of total assets are buried
underground in the form of underground cables. These are
used to connect the
telephonic exchange through their various cabinets, pillars
and distribution points to the
telephonic subscriber's instruments. |
| Scope of Work |
We were
responsible to convert the external plant data for the
entire city in the digital
format. The scope of the project was as follows:
- Landbase
records creation
- Streets
and the duct network digitization
- Digitization
of A1 size maps
- Data
verification and correction
- Creating
the facilities database i.e. digitization of external
plant items with their non-graphic attributes attached.
- Generating
the outputs in the form of - Reports and Plots of
Landbase and facilities

books & data books were integrated as part of

project was executed using Auto Cad as the base package
and final processing
was done on the ESRI technology.
We have used Win NT as the operating system and Oracle
as the back end database. |
